Cardboard Attic Baffles Installation

Rafter vents should be placed in your attic ceiling in between the rafters at the point where your attic ceiling meets your attic floor.

Rafter vents come in 4 foot lengths and 14 1 2 and 22 1 2 inch widths for different rafter spacings. Choose an option 16 x 23 24 x 23 24 x 33 24 x 44. Fit each one snuggly in the bay with the bottom starting where the ceiling joist meets the roof rafter. The kit takes less than an hour to install.

Fold the front of. You will need a baffle for each space between the rafters. These attic baffles are lightweight easy to install and provide excellent airflow. Pull any existing insulation away from the edges of the attic where you will be putting up the baffles.

The only tools needed to complete the installation are a tape measure utility knife straight edge and a marker. To install the rafter vents staple them directly to the roof decking. Hold a baffle against the underside of the roof deck between a pair of trusses that border a soffit vent. Install attic baffles shaped like long shallow trays during construction or remodeling to create channels for air to flow from the soffit vents at the bottom of the roof to the vent at its peak.

Opening and fit neatly into the exposed channel of the door. You ll need to crawl to the end of the eave and staple the baffle against the roof deck. Purchase cardboard baffles that fit snugly between the roof trusses. The baffle may then be stapled to the truss to hold them in place. Our cardboard attic baffles are 24 wide with bendable tabs to fit within a 24 truss. Simply measure mark trim and install.
